What Our Guests Have to Say
A Visit to Beyul
Make your approach via a drive up the (paved and plowed daily!) iconic Frying Pan River Valley, shouldered with 250-million-year-old Maroon Formation red sandstone cliffs. You’re likely to catch a glimpse of bighorn sheep or elk on the way, along with spectacular views of the Continental Divide & Ruedi Reservoir.
On arrival you’ll be greeted in our century-old lodge by the charming and eclectic Mossy Rock Mercantile, funky & fine art, and our cheerful staff who live onsite.
Cozy up in front of the fireplace in the Lodge (or the woodstove in your cabin) with a hot drink, a good book, your journal, or a board game. Tromp through the woods hunting for the large art installations on our sculpture trail. Tune your nervous system in our sauna and cold plunge (or in the chilly pond, if you dare!). Connect with other adventurous spirits who prefer to travel off the beaten path to places that resonate.
Beyul Culinary Weeks.
Join us for this unique opportunity to be wined and dined while you enjoy the beauty of Beyul and the surrounding Frying Pan Valley. Many weekends this summer, we offer brunch and dinner. Check the calendar to see availability.

Plan to Cook
Bring groceries with you and come prepared to cook your meals. The nearest grocery stores are in Basalt & Willits, 40 minutes away.
Nine of our 13 cabins have their own kitchens or kitchenettes. For the Snug Cabins and the Lodge Rooms, we provide access to a communal kitchenette in the Main Lodge. We also have a grill on the Main Lodge patio. All rooms and cabins have either a mini-fridge or a full-size fridge.
Please note that only Aspen Lodge, Mountain View, Longbranch and Valley View cabins have ovens. The other kitchens/kitchenettes have stove burners, toasters, microwaves, hot water kettles, and other kitchen essentials.
Well-Maintained Mountain Road —
but AWD/4WD Required in Winter
While the Frying Pan Road is well-maintained and plowed promptly when it snows, our steep driveways on property are unpaved and are merely hardpacked, plowed snow in the winter.
This means that AWD/4WD is required, along with either snow tires or all-season tires, in the winter.
