Together, they’re the heart and soul making Beyul an unforgettable experience, a community, and a hub of inspiration and rejuvenation.
Abby Stern
Co-Founder & General Manager
Abby is dedicated to building community that is focused around environmental, social and interpersonal wellness. Since earning a B.S. in Environmental Engineering, her focus has shifted to "Community Engineering", a practice that is centered around providing infrastructure for groups and individuals to develop physical and emotional skills to better take care of humanity, and ultimately, our planet. Abby has 10 years of experience in retreat curation, production, curriculum creation, marketing and community organizing through her work with several nonprofit organizations in Aspen, Colorado. She is a 500 RYT trained yoga and meditation instructor who leads weekly classes at Beyul. She is also a graduate of the University of Santa Monica's Soul-Centered Living course and utilizes the practices of spiritual psychology in her facilitation.
Andrew Skewes
Co-Founder
Andrew moved to Aspen full time in 2016 from New York City, choosing Aspen for its unique combination of incredible natural beauty, world class outdoor activities, and active intellectual life. Andrew began his career as a risk management consultant at Arthur Andersen. Andrew then pursued an 18-year career as in finance, working at Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and finishing his finance career as Managing Director of equity derivative trading at Bank of America/Merrill Lynch. Andrew now focuses on private investments in various industries, with an emphasis on real estate. Andrew is the Beyul lead investor and brings extensive finance, legal and organization structure experience to the Beyul team. Andrew graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in History, has an M.B.A. in Finance and completed the curriculum for a M.S in Accounting at New York University. Andrew is also a non-practicing New York State Certified Public Accountant.
Ashley Meyers
Marketing & Strategic Projects, Investor
Ashley is passionate about connecting people and place. She currently brings that lens to deep engagement with the natural world through her work with Beyul. She is trained in permaculture, landscape design, and community forestry. She built her expertise in partnership development, product strategy, communications & community organizing in the civic sector, using technology to help citizens shape their city & government. She spent 4 years building a digital product team for the San Francisco Mayor’s Office, where she was product manager for affordable housing & founded the Startup-In-Residence program. Before the City of San Francisco, she was an early team member of national non-profit tech startup Code for America and a political campaign manager. She is an alumna of Northwestern University and was a fellow with New Leaders Council & the Coro Center for Civic Leadership.
Janae Bell
Retreats & Programming
Janae is passionate about building community through spiritual wellness and growth. With a deep commitment to helping individuals connect with themselves and others, she creates and facilitates experiences that support healing and personal development. She hosts moon circles and other spiritual practices to guide participants on their journeys toward deeper self-awareness and transformation. As a certified 200-hour yoga teacher and meditation instructor, Janae uses her skills to support others in finding balance and connection. Her background in event planning, community organizing, and leadership empowers her to foster connection and create meaningful experiences for those she works with.
Chris Millar
Property Management
Chris, hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, is a master at his craft of handyman work. He grew up in the garage with his grandfather and dad who encouraged him to be resourceful and steadfast at a young age. His MacGyver-like approach to problem-solving has shaped his work in countless ways. Before joining the team at Beyul Retreat, Chris wore many hats- from guiding dives in Santorini Greece as a divemaster to renovating historic homes in Cleveland. Constantly expanding his skill set, he’s always refining and upgrading his tool belt by challenging himself with new projects. When Chris isn’t lending a hand around the property, you’ll likely find him tinkering in the garage, adventuring on his dirt bike, or scaling mountains- whether on a rope, skis, or a bike. And by his side through it all is his trusty pup, Bruce, the unofficial right-hand man of the property team.
Giordan Toledo
Executive Chef
Chef Giordan Toledo is a highly skilled culinary professional and a graduate of culinary school. A native of South Florida, he brings over 16 years of extensive experience in the culinary field. Giordan served as our sous chef his first season, and his exceptional performance earned him the promotion to head chef. Giordan is passionate about discussing food and health topics and is eager to address any culinary inquiries you may have. Giordan and his dedicated kitchen team are committed to ensuring that your dining experience at Beyul is truly unforgettable. We invite you to visit our kitchen and greet our head chef!
James Gorman
Property & Capital Projects
James, born and raised in Glenwood Springs, is a self-taught builder. He has a decade of production experience including as the production manager for Gravity Productions and Carbondale Mountain Fair.
Recent projects include building out Beyul’s cedar sauna, entrance bridge, and the 1500 sf auxiliary tent
James leads the maintenance team, and the audio/visual aspects of Beyul’s onsite programming.
Danielle Lasky
Onsite Retreat Coordinator
Danielle’s passion for bringing people together and building community is at the heart of everything she does. With a love for nature, movement, and intentional living, Danielle embodies many of the values that Beyul Retreat represents. Whether she’s baking bread, climbing mountains, practicing yoga, or simply savoring moments in the outdoors, her lifestyle reflects a commitment to balance, exploration, and connection- qualities she brings to her work. Danielle holds a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate and a Personal Training certification and has been guiding movement classes since 2019. Her background in health and wellness fuels her dedication for helping others reconnect with themselves and the world around them. This passion drives her role at Beyul, where she helps crafts spaces for guests to unplug, reflect, and rediscover what matters most.
Jeremiah Glascoff
Property Management
A suddenly sedentary lifetime wanderer, Jeremiah and his loyal companion Nellie are honored to call Beyul home. A mountain man forever in training, he cherishes his role as a fire-tender and protector of these hidden lands. He enjoys studying the healing arts, ecology, and writing poetry. Jeremiah wakes up humbled every day to live in this magical community!
Sasha Dimitrevic
Sales & Retreats
Sasha believes that the most impactful success comes from a deliberate, collective effort, weaving many threads together to form a beautiful whole. Contributing from this cooperative mindset, she launches and accelerates aligned pursuits and experiences which draw people together and respect the earth. Her studies in economics, anthropology and art curation in Sydney, Australia evolved into a lifelong passion for embracing diverse perspectives and patterns, inspiring the desire to create experiences, communities and businesses all over the world. Her own ventures span a broad spectrum of community building, hospitality execution, real estate development, art advising and curation, production, product invention and patenting and are all linked by an underlying drive to bring people together with intention, respect, and ecological awareness in order to rise together.
