Mountain Wedding Venues Near Aspen: Peak Fall Colors

A Rare October Weekend Just Opened

So here's the thing.

The first weekend of October 2026 — peak aspen season, golden trees against blue sky, that perfect fall mountain light — just became available for a wedding.

We don't say this lightly. First-weekend October bookings at Beyul usually lock in a year ahead. Maybe more. But sometimes the universe shifts, and here we are.

If you know a couple still looking for their spot, send them our way.

Why Beyul for Mountain Weddings Near Aspen

We're tucked along Frying Pan Road, about an hour from Aspen, an hour from Basalt. Close enough for guests to fly into Aspen or Eagle. Far enough that when you arrive, the world goes quiet.

32 acres. Rivers and ponds. Forest trails. Thirteen cabins plus lodge rooms that sleep 70+ guests comfortably. A meadow where ceremonies happen with mountains as witnesses.

No wifi in the cabins. We did that on purpose. Weddings here tend to feel different — more present, more connected. Guests actually talk to each other at dinner. They take evening walks instead of scrolling. The day after, couples tell us it felt like the weekend stretched longer than it should have.

That's the land doing its thing.

What October Looks Like Here

Late September is when the aspens turn - its all golden that first weekend of October. Drive Independence Pass or toward Maroon Bells and you'll see why people plan trips around it. But here at Beyul, you don't have to go anywhere. The gold is all around you.

Mornings are crisp. You'll want a sweater at breakfast, maybe a blanket if you're sitting outside with coffee - we’ve got you there. By midday the sun warms everything. Evenings cool fast — perfect for gathering around the fire pit or slipping into the hot tub under early stars.

We've seen light overnight snow dustings by mid-October, but early in the month it's usually just golden and clear.

What We Offer Wedding Couples

Gourmet farm to table dining. Choose from our menus that feel personal, seasonal, nourishing. Cocktail hour by the pond, long family-style dinners, late-night s'mores — we've got it all.

Yoga sessions if you want a morning gathering. Sauna and cold plunge if your people are into that (they usually are by the end of the weekend). The Forest Spiral walking meditation path if someone needs a quiet moment.

And space. Lots of it. Your guests spread out across cabins, claim their porches, find their favorite trail. Then come back together when it matters.

How This Works

Reach out. We'll talk through your vision. We've hosted everything from 12-person executive teams to 150-person weddings to solo travelers just needing a few days to remember who they are.

The land holds it all.

And if you're the couple eyeing that first October weekend? We're here.

This spot won't wait long.
