Yoqi Immersion

YOQI Instructor Training Immersion 2026

Beyul Retreat, Colorado | August 16–25, 2026

This retreat is part of the YOQI® Module 1 Certified Instructor Training Program—an accredited, in-depth training in Qigong, Taoist breathwork (pranayama), meditation, and Traditional Chinese Medicine theory through the lens of the YOQI method. Whether you're on the path to certification or simply seeking to deepen your practice, this immersion offers a rare opportunity to study and embody the wisdom of energy cultivation in a supportive and nature-filled environment.

While the atmosphere is serene and nourishing, this is also a rigorous and intentional immersion—designed to build discipline, willpower, and mastery in Qigong. Mornings are devoted to movement and theory, while afternoons offer space for integration, rest, nature adventures, or personal reflection. Evening sessions include guided meditations, and group connection.

Whether you are beginning your teaching journey or returning to renew your Qi, this retreat is a powerful container to awaken your potential, embody the flow of nature, and align with your purpose.

NOTE FOR CERTIFICATION: Before you attend this immersion you must complete the Module 1 online course Introduction Series and 50 hours of practice. See certification page for details.

Inspired by frequent trips to Asia as a child, Marisa has spent over 25 years studying, working, and living in China and Thailand. During this time, she received direct transmissions from Qigong masters, nuns, and healers in the Buddhist and Daoist traditions, training with some of the world’s most respected teachers, including Ken Cohen and Liu He. She is also certified through the Universal Healing Tao school of Master Mantak Chia.

A certified Qigong instructor and E-RYT® 500 yoga instructor, with expertise in Yin Yoga and Vipassana meditation, Marisa is known for her generous and light-hearted teaching style. She offers a functional and experiential approach to energy cultivation that resonates with students of all levels. Her extensive video-on-demand library continues to inspire a global audience, offering accessible and empowering practices to harmonize the body, mind, and spirit.

Pavel Bahushevich

Pavel Bahushevich started practicing qigong twenty years ago. During this time he also studied meditation, yoga, sufi practices and modern techniques to work with energy. But spiritual practices were more like a hobby until he seriously injured his spine and wasn’t able to walk or sit for three months. After choosing not to go through with the operation that required fixing his spine with metal bars, he focused on qigong healing methods to heal himself. After successfully curing his spine through qigong he went on to become a certified Universal Healing Tao Instructor specializing in Iron Shirt, Tao Yin and Healing Love practices. He also has trained in medical qigong theory and form with Master Tan.

Madaline Olson

Madaline’s journey with Qigong began eight years ago when she was introduced to the practice by her partner, sparking a profound transformation in her life. Since then, she has empowered herself through energy work, becoming a Certified YOQI® Instructor, Reiki Practitioner (Level 2), Crystal Energy Guide, and Oracle Card Master Reader. Deeply connected to nature and a member of the ecstatic dance community, Madaline is passionate about fostering compassion, joy, and connection in all she does. Her uplifting spirit infuses every practice with warmth, laughter, and light, leaving a positive impact on everyone she meets.
