Given our remote locale, situated an hour away from the nearest store, the majority of maintenance and repair tasks are conducted in-house. Beyul Retreat, a backcountry adventure lodge meets wellness retreat, is now hiring for a talented Property Manager who will not only be responsible for addressing an array of cabin and property maintenance duties but also for managing a dedicated team of maintenance staff.
Given our remote locale, situated an hour away from the nearest store, the majority of maintenance and repair tasks are conducted in-house. As the Property Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating these tasks, ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our expansive remote retreat center.

Property Manager Job Description

Conduct repair and maintenance tasks in cabins and lodge including replacing parts, plumbing and electrical issues.
Implement preventive maintenance programs to prolong the lifespan of cabin facilities.
Coordinate with vendors or contractors for specialized repairs as needed.
Be scheduled for one to two on-call shifts each week, maintaining readiness to respond to work-related issues, emergencies, or requests. The Assistant Property Manager will be reachable via radio for effective communication during on-call and other scheduled shifts.
Manage and oversee waste disposal and recycling programs, ensuring the proper collection, segregation, and environmentally responsible disposal of trash in compliance with local regulations.
Maintain utilities such as electrical, propane, water and internet.
Maintain appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, commercial kitchen, boilers, hot water heaters.
Conduct routine inspections, identify issues, and implement repairs or improvements.
Implement effective rodent control measures to safeguard premises and maintain a pest-free environment.

Maintain roads and walkways on the property, ensuring they are safe, well-maintained, and free from hazards.
Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or resurfacing projects.
Implement snow removal and ice management during winter months.
Ensure the grounds and building exteriors are well-groomed, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with the retreat center's overall aesthetic.
Repair damage for road, walkway maintenance, groundskeeping, landscaping and snow removal
Maintain and repair the ditches and ponds throughout the property
Ensure regular maintenance and upkeep of vehicles and equipment to support the efficiency and reliability of operations, including but not limited to truck, electric ranger, plow, lawn mower, tractor, chain saws, weed wackers and trailers.

Contribute to venue setup and arrangements, including furniture moving, layout, decor, and signage, to create a welcoming and visually appealing atmosphere for event attendees.
Provide valuable catering support by managing trash disposal, dishwashing, and efficient serving assistance to guarantee a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for all event participants.
Proficiently handle audiovisual setup tasks, ensuring all equipment is properly installed, tested, and maintained for seamless event execution.

Oversee the maintenance of amenities like hot tubs, saunas, and cold plunge pools.
Conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs or replacements as necessary.
Ensure all amenities are in optimal working condition for guest use.
Maintain firewood storage, production, and distribution to cabins and communal spaces
Maintain seasonal guest amenities such as trails, ice skating pond, cross country track, paddle boards and yard games.

Manage and maintain the water systems for the lodge and cabins, ensuring consistent and reliable supply.
Conduct regular inspections, identify leaks, freezes or inefficiencies, and implement necessary repairs or upgrades.
Monitor water quality and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory property management and maintenance requirements.
Develop and maintain safety protocols and emergency response plans specific to property maintenance.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
Who We’re Looking For

Ability to maintain and repair plumbing and electrical,
Carpentry, repair work, construction and renovation work a plus
Required to drive pick-up truck and snow removal equipment.
Ability to maintain logs and records.
Requires a professional presentation and an ability to work in a team atmosphere and to make independent decisions.

A minimum of 1 year of successful experience in an equal or similar position.

Net compensation package of up to $80,000
Full time hourly $25/hr with overtime pay (1.5x pay at $42)
